Container Freight Station Pickup Fees
CFS pickup fees are separate from and in addition to per-unit prep fees.
What you need to provide for CFS pickup:
- Bill of Lading or delivery order from your freight forwarder
- CFS facility name and contact (we coordinate the appointment)
- Confirmed customs release — we cannot pick up before CBP clears the cargo
- Cargo availability notification — please give 24-hour advance notice when possible
- Any special handling instructions or product fragility notes
Diesel Fuel Surcharge Policy
CFS coordination fees are baselined at a diesel price of $4.00/gallon. A surcharge applies per pickup visit when pump prices exceed this baseline.
Current Surcharge as of September 2026
Diesel price: $6.38/gallon (AAA Virginia Average, September 24, 2026) — applicable surcharge: $25.00 per pickup. Surcharge tiers are reviewed monthly and updated on the 1st of each month. Clients are notified of any tier change at least 5 business days before it takes effect.

Common Questions
Is there a monthly minimum?
Starter and Growth tier clients have a $75/month minimum. Scale and Partner tier clients have no monthly minimum.
How does inventory intake work?
We are a pickup and drop-off operation only. Inventory reaches us via CFS direct pickup, client drop-off, or local freight terminal pickup. Out-of-state clients may ship to our business address via UPS or FedEx.
What are your payment terms?
New clients: 50% deposit before work begins, 50% upon shipment completion. Established clients (3+ shipments): Net 15 at our discretion. We accept Visa, MC, Amex, Discover, ACH, wire transfer, PayPal, Wise, and Payoneer. A 2% discount is available for full upfront payment.
How quickly do you turn around orders?
Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from receipt of inventory. Rush processing (24-hour guaranteed) is +$0.35/unit for Starter & Growth, or +$0.25/unit for Scale & Partner. VIP Concierge clients receive priority queue status with 24-hour turnaround guaranteed at no extra charge.
What if I have a complex or unusual product?
Contact us for a custom quote. Complex projects, large volumes, multi-SKU kits, or unusual packaging may require a tailored rate. We respond within 4 business hours.
What if you make a prep error?
We maintain a zero-error policy and document every shipment with photos. In the rare event of a verified prep error, we will re-prep affected units at no charge and cover any resulting Amazon inbound defect fees.
How is the diesel fuel surcharge calculated and when does it apply?
The surcharge applies only to CFS pickup visits, not to per-unit prep fees. It is calculated based on the AAA Virginia average diesel price on the date of your pickup appointment. The current surcharge is $25.00 per pickup (diesel at $6.00+/gallon as of September 2026). It is always listed as a separate line item on your invoice.
Will the CFS fees go back down if diesel prices drop?
Yes. The base CFS fees include a built-in assumption of normal diesel pricing. If diesel falls below $4.00/gallon, no surcharge applies and your total pickup cost is the base fee only. We review surcharge tiers monthly and always use the published AAA Virginia average — not our own estimate.
